Each mini Shepherd’s Hut is named, numbered, catalogued and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, a unique and pleasing way of using materials which would otherwise be thrown away. Rusty old nails, for example make great chimneys whilst our axels, we make from - well, old axels! Nails make great strap hinges for our stable doors, nails we use too with nuts and sections of old pipe to make our wheels and so on…

The tin is a little more involved. Firstly we have to flatten out the full size corrugations before hammering, by hand, the smaller scale corrugations.

We’ve managed to make forty of these little huts this year (we’ve been busy making the big ones!) and won’t be making any more until next year. Available exclusively through our on-line shop, delivery is free during the run up to Christmas, or if you wanted to collect directly from our workshop - that’s free too!

At around 30cm high, some of our mini huts have distressed paint in vibrant colours, others are more muted in tone, with the subtle shades of the wood or metal making their mark.

If you fancy your own piece of Fourpenny art, why not take a browse through our Shepherd's Hut collection? They make brilliant special gifts for lovers of all things vintage (particularly if they're one of those people who are impossible to buy for).

It may be that you'd love a full size Shepherd's Hut but are lacking the space or budget... these cute little mini Shepherd's Huts are the next best thing.

Or perhaps you have a space on your mantlepiece or bookshelf that's just crying out for a quirky feature piece - these special little sculptures are covetable family heirlooms in the making. Choose one from the collection or commission one specially and you'll soon find it becomes part of the family.
